DEPM – How does this stuff work ?
8. DEPM consists of three major components.
Brief functions of these components are enumerated
below.

Admin Server
and Client Key Agents – “Client
Key Agents” (CKA) would be programmed
to reside in the system tray to monitor
and track Data Entry Keystrokes. This keystroke
information will be transmitted back to
the “Admin Server” for storage
and reporting.
In addition to tracking Data Entry keystrokes,
these agents will also track Time spent
on PC. |

Centralized Key Server
collects inputs from Key Agents - The
Centralized Key Server (CKS) will collect
information from the CKA into database
and make the collection process fault-tolerant
during PC crash, Network outages etc.
This Centralized server will calculate
and generate reports in a central place
to be made accessible to authorized persons
through Management Reporting Tool (MRT). |

Management Reporting Tool
– Authorized personnel can use the
Management Reporting Tool (MRT) generate
and view different types of reports. The
MRT will have access control up to 2 levels,
so that only authorized levels can see the
appropriate reports. Reports can be configured,
customized and auto-emailed to designated
addresses. |
